As mankind adds more and more global warming pollution to the atmosphere, worldwide temperatures are rising, with scientists predicting much bigger increases during our children's lifetime. This will have dire consequences for the Northern Plains, along with the rest of the world.
Americans have long been the biggest contributors to the problem, but now North Dakota is uniquely positioned to offer real solutions. If we and our elected leaders act wisely, we can help head off the most serious damage, while reaping economic gains.
